Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launched with New Gearbox, Features and Updates

Skoda Kushaq facelift has been officially launched in India with a starting price of ₹10.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated midsize SUV is now available across multiple variants, with deliveries already underway.

This mid-cycle update brings subtle design revisions, new features and a significant mechanical upgrade in the form of a new automatic transmission.

Price and Variants

The facelifted Kushaq is priced between ₹10.69 lakh and ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom), with prices seeing an increase of up to ₹94,000 depending on the variant.

A new Classic+ variant now replaces the earlier base model and also introduces an automatic option at the entry level, making the lineup more accessible.

New Gearbox and Engine Options

One of the biggest highlights of the update is the introduction of a new 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission paired with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine.

  • 1.0 TSI Engine
    • Power: 114 BHP
    • Torque: 178 Nm
    • Gearbox: 6-speed manual / NEW 8-speed automatic
  • 1.5 TSI Engine

The new gearbox replaces the older 6-speed automatic and is expected to offer better drivability and improved fuel efficiency, with claimed mileage improvements across the range.

Exterior Design Updates

The Kushaq facelift adopts Skoda’s latest design language with subtle but noticeable updates:

  • Revised front grille with modern styling
  • Slim LED headlamps with DRLs
  • New alloy wheel designs

A standout addition is the rear seat massage function, which is being positioned as a segment-first feature.

The SUV also offers improved comfort, though it remains more suitable for four occupants for optimal rear seat space.

Improved Comfort and Efficiency

Mileage figures have also improved:

  • 1.0 AT now delivers around 19.09 km/l
